Savannas of the West and Central Anatolia, high plateaus and steppes of East Anatolia, especially Birecik, are significant habitats of Small Five Toed Jerboa. The young of Allactaga williamsi (=araptavsani) was born at an average weight of 2.51 gr. Litter size ranged from 3 to 6 with an average of 4.8 . A. williamsi breeds during the period of March to August, and produced 2-3 litters per year. A. williamsi has 2 types of burrows: reproduction and summer. It generally feeds on plant material, but eats various insects and their larvae in the months of April and May.
